We had an amazing weekend celebrating my Dad and Linda's 25th wedding anniversary! We road tripped it down to Sacramento with the kids.  We had 4 cars going down at the same time!  Stacy, Mike and Tyler in one car, Kelle, Branden, and Kacey in another.  Jalen, Courtney and Allie in a car and Kaela, Bill and me in a car!  Wow!  What a caravan going down I-5!  No, nobody mooned anyone while driving...that wouldn't be like our family at all!!  ha ha...(Stacy)...shhh

Dad and Linda both received their very first pedicure!  They loved it and I think they are now hooked!

12 pedicures in the same afternoon.  Our family had the BEST looking feet the party!  Thank you Dad and Linda for the pedicures.  What a fun experience and memory with our family!

There are not enough words for this picture!  Allie was a "Dancing Queen" at the party.  She even managed to have a dance contest with some of Papa Jeff's friends.  It was a blast watching the dance floor clear so that people could watch Allie.  It was totally hilarious!

 The party was held on an old sternwheeler boat called the "Delta King" in Old Town Sacramento.  We had a lot of fun getting all dressed up!

Kaela had her junior prom last weekend.  We were looking for a dress for quite
time.  After shopping all over town, we decided to take our chances and look for a dress online.  I'm not a fan of getting such an important dress online, but we took careful measurements of Kaela and ordered the dress.  When we tried it on, it was a PERFECT fit!  It didn't even need to be hemmed!  Kaela looked absolutely stunning in her dress.  A huge thank you to Jalen for doing her hair and makeup!

My Life on the River

It's amazing how much I love living on the river.  Back when Bill and I were talking about moving on the water, I knew that I would love it.  But, I truly had no idea how this life and location would complete me in such a profound way.  I have such an incredible sense of peace and belonging when I walk in my front door.  Not a lot of people can say that about their life and I thank God everyday for my blessings.

Here is a picture of the view when we are driving our boat out for a little "tootle".  It's breathtaking!

Our Grandbaby is doing great!  The baby is 18 weeks now, and is growing and growing!  We get to find out if Jalen and Nathan are having a boy or a girl next month!  They have the cutest names picked out already!  I promise to reveal the names after we find out what they're having.

Bill and I had the opportunity to take Allie to Vegas for her 21st birthday last month.  Bill had to attend a conference in Las Vegas for 4 days, so we tagged along and made it a fun birthday celebration!  She was in awe of the city that doesn't sleep.  We had a great time!

We are going to be GRANDPARENTS!

Jalen and Nathan found out that they are pregnant!

My baby is having a baby!  

There were so many emotions running through my head when she told us!  My entire world changed for the better at that very moment!  I love this little baby so much and I can't wait until I get to see his or her precious little face!  

They found out about a month ago, but I wanted to wait until after her doctor appointment before I blogged about it.  The same doctor that delivered all 4 of my children will be delivering our first Grandchild!  How wonderful is that??!!

We are expecting our first grand baby on September 20th, 2012.  Jalen and Nathan are nervous, anxious, and excited about their new baby!  

We got this idea from another blog, and we thought that it would be a good way to document the progress of Jalen and Nathan's baby!  Uh, yes...that would be OUR little gummy bear!

The next phase of our life is in full swing!  I couldn't be more happy! 

Happy New Year 2012

We have an amazing dinner at Urban Fondue in Downtown Portland on New Year's Eve!  The menu was amazing!  We had some cheese fondue, Lobster, Shrimp, Steak, and for dessert, Dark Chocolate fondue with lots of yummy things to dip!

We headed home to ring in the new year.  I didn't quite make it though...I was asleep by 11:45pm!  So close :))  Maybe next year!

They're Engaged!

Mr. & Mrs. Nathan Bratton! 

Holy Moly! My baby is engaged! Nathan proposed to Jalen on Christmas morning!  I'm so thrilled for them!  They are seriously the cutest couple of all time!

We don't have a date set in stone, but we are hoping for a wedding date of 

12.12.12.  

Everything will depend on where Nathan gets stationed with the Navy and if he will be deployed after returning from Florida. 

Wow!  A wedding is in our future!
