Last Friday, Allie surprised me by coming home for the weekend! I was thrilled to see her! On Saturday, we went to an AdvoCare "Coffee Talk" together. AdvoCare is an amazing company! We were introduced to AdvoCare about 7 years ago by Melanie who knew Bill from a networking group. I fell in love with the products and proceeded to lose 45 pounds and went from a size 22 to a 14. However, I'm a very hard learner and tend to let the "not so fun" parts of life distract me from what I know is the next right thing to do...so I now find myself praying for opportunities for more positive changes. I celebrated 6 months sobriety this month and for me, the next right thing is that Bill and I have made is to help others achieve their goals with AdvoCare. This is will be a business for us and we are so excited to see what the future holds.

Welcome 2010

Happy New Year 2010!

A new decade...Wow. I plan on making this year a special year of joy, happiness, and love!

We took our family out to dinner on New Year's Eve at McCormicks. (Except Taylor, who had to work...we missed you honey)

We had a fun time together laughing and eating wonderful food.

After dinner, we went home to watch the ball drop. Christie and Patrick came and dropped Devin and Aaliyah off so that we could watch them. It was a fun night, but I was in bed by 12:30am.

Our God-daughter is now smiling ALOT! She is such a blessing and we love her SOOOO much!

Aaliyah is our shining example of how to look at life this year! Let's join her and smile and EVERYTHING! Sound like a plan?

A snowy surprise

Snow!

It must be a difficult job to be a weather man! A couple of weeks ago, I was certain that we were going to wake up to snow. I had gone to the store and stocked up on food and we were all prepared for a winter blast. Nothing! Not even one little tiny flake! GRRR.....I was bummed out, but moved on to Christmas.

Then last week, Bill was at work and I was at home and it started snowing! There was NOTHING in the news or the weather report about snow, so we were shocked! Bill was up in Washington doing some work, so I called him and told him he better start heading home because it was getting bad in Portland! This was around 2pm. Let's just say that a trip that should have taken Bill 90 minutes to get home took him almost 6 hours! The city was snow shocked! I'm just thankful that Bill made it home safe and in one piece.

I had fun at home taking pictures with Joey and praying for Bill to make it home safe. The kids were all safe inside, so no worries there.
