Workin' at the CAR WASH

Dance Team Car Wash - Part 1

We had the first of 2 dance team car washes today...and BOY WAS IT HOT!!! It was about 98 degrees today. Both Bill and I got a pretty good sunburn even with sunscreen on.

The girls(and parents) did a really good job washing cars today. The dance team made really good money. YEAH!! I'm so excited for this new season to begin.
Bill always does such a great job with the car washes. This is his 4th and final year heading up the car washes. With every dance team event that happens, we are realizing that it is the last year that we get to participate. This is going to be a bitter sweet year for us with Alex and her dance team. Stay the end of the school year, I'll be a big pile of mushy tears.....HA HA HA!

Happy Birthday Kelle!

Happy Birthday Kelle B!

We celebrated Kelle's Birthday last weekend with friends and family! Kelle has been such an important part of our lives for so many years! I really consider her to be a sister. We went to Stacy's house and had a great time. Stacy and Tyler made the best Strawberry Shortcake! Great job guys!
Stacy made Kelle the cutest collage of pictures from all the the good times and memories that we have had with Kelle.

We love you Kelle!!

Grandma's Visit

Grandma Schroeder's Visit

We had a very nice surprise on Tuesday! Grandma Schroeder was in town for a couple of days. She works for the Carson & Barnes Circus. Her job is to go around and book the space for the circus. We have said that our Grandma "ran away with the circus". She has been traveling all over the country for the last year. Quite the road trip. Anyway, we were just thrilled that she was able to stay with us so that we could catch up with her and all of her adventures....and boy were there some good ones! Mom, Scott & Stacy came over for dinner. It was great to have everyone together!

Stacy brought Chloe over and Joey had fun playing with her.

I just love this picture of Kaela. She was showing off her dog while we were sitting out on the patio talking.

Here is another great picture of Kaela & Joey. Kaela is so pretty!

Father's Day Weekend

Happy Father's Day 2008

We had a really nice Father's Day weekend with the kids. On Saturday, Courtney came over to hang out with us. Courtney, Matthew & Kaela decided to spell out "Happy Father's Day" in Bill's favorite candy....DOTS!

The kids had a great time playing outside in the beautiful weather. Matthew played some music on his guitar and the girls played around on the grass. It was a great day.

Matthew & Courtney made up a cute routine on the grass. VERY IMPRESSIVE....ha ha

I made a yummy taco salad for dinner. We ate dinner out on the patio. It was a perfect evening. I wish the other kids could have joined us. With 6 busy teenagers, we are happy to get the ones we can get....when we can get them.

Romancing the Rose

On Friday night, Bill & I went to the Hotel Lucia to stay the night before the Rose Parade on Saturday morning. I used to work at the Hotel so we get a room that overlooks the parade for an AMAZING rate. This has become a tradition for us ever since Allie has been marching in the parade with the dance team. Bill & I had a nice time. Stacy & Tyler came down in the morning at watched the parade with us.

Here is a picture of our room at the hotel.

Angie & Bill.....Aren't we cute?

The dance team looked absolutely ADORABLE!

The parade was about 4.2 miles....Hang in there girls, you are almost done!

There's Allie on the far right....Cutie!

Happy Birthday Jaylin

We had a family birthday party last Sunday to celebrate Jaylin's 26th Birthday.

Happy Birthday Jaylin!

I thought that this was a really cute picture of Wayne & Jaylin.

This is Chloe. She is my sister's new puppy. She is now 6 months old. Over Memorial Day Weekend, Tyler had a baseball tournament, so Bill & I "babysat" the little puppy! She sure kept us busy, but what a little sweetheart! We had a little trouble getting her to go to bed on the first night and she finally fell asleep buried under our covers. Too cute!!

Alex is the new captain of the Westview Dance Team!

Alex made captain of the Westview Dance Team last week. She had to go through an application and interview process with the coaches. She will be head captain with her friend Ellie. We are so proud of her. This is going to be a great year for her as a senior.

Last weekend, I went with the dance team to the beach for the dance team beach trip. We all had a great time. Right before we all got in the car to go down to the beach, the coach randomly handed out CD's with 1 song on it. During the ride down to the beach, each car of girls had to come up with a funny "spoof" dance. When we got down to the beach, the girls had to perform their dances in the middle of town! It was totally hilarious to see what each car came up with. Each song was different so there were some really original and funny dances. Alot of the people in town gathered to watch our impromptu performance. The coaches then picked the "best of the worst" routine. Our car won 1st place!! Good job girls!!

The girls had some great bonding activities and a bon fire on the beach. This is going to be a great team! We are so excited for this coming year!!
