Kaela's Winter Formal....AKA  MORP

Kaela had her Senior Winter Formal last weekend.  MORP is PROM spelled backwards so the girls get to ask the boys to the dance.  Kaela looked so beautiful!  It was yet another event that brings us closer to her graduation!  I can't believe how fast this time goes by.  She had a great time at the dance and said that this was one for the memory books (or the memory blog)!  Ha ha....

Taylor's Moving to Alaska!

Good Luck in Alaska, Taylor!
We will miss you!

Our son Taylor moved to Alaska last week.  We have such mixed emotions about this move.  On one hand, we are happy for his to move with his girlfriend, Stacy and work on his career in the medical field.  On the other hand, he is moving so far away that we will really miss having him around every day!  I know that it's a part of life, but it's still hard.

Taylor is moving to a little village on St. Lawrence Island, called Gambell.  There are about 700 people there.  Taylor's girlfriend, Stacy teaches 2nd grade and Taylor will be working at the health clinic in Gambell.  Taylor said that it's a big adjustment for him to live there.  There is a little store there (however, it's really expensive!).  There is a little airport, post office, school, and health clinic.

We hope to see Taylor this summer, but until then, we are relying on Facebook, Facetime, and Skype.

Here are some pictures of Taylor and Gambell.

This is a picture of Taylor and his tiny little village behind him.

Taylor's EMT group made the local paper!  Good Job, Son!

Christmas 2012

Christmas 2012

This year, Christmas was so special.  Maverick.  Our sweet Grandson.  He has single handedly made this Christmas beyond special.  He has brought a joy to our house that I didn't know could exist.

Maverick's First Christmas

Every year, we go to this amazing tree lot that have SUPER expensive trees.  I would NEVER pay $100 for a Christmas Tree!  EVER!  This lot is so awesome because they have an economy lot.  Since we have vaulted ceilings, we can get a BIG tree.  And each year, we pay only $10.00 for our tree.

It was great to be able to add Carlie and Nathan to our stocking wall.  New son-in-law and future daughter-in-law!

Tradition Continues!  Bill makes the BEST prime rib for Christmas Dinner.

TuTu loves you, Maverick!

Our sweet children (AKA adults) getting ready to open stockings!  You are NEVER too old for stockings!

We have a wonderful neighbor that bought Maverick his first stuffed animal

The tradition in our family is that we open presents from the youngest to the oldest.  Tradition is so important!
