Taylor's Senior Prom

Having fun at the senior prom! Life doesn't get much better than that!!!!

This is the prom group that went with Taylor & Hillary to their Senior Prom. It was so cool that each girl had a different color of dress for prom. It was like our own little rainbow! Red, Orange, Yellow, Green Blue Purple. Plus Gold, Cream, Black & White! A total of 12 couples~

Taylor and Hillary had a great time at their senior prom. They looked absolutely amazing! Like a couple from a magazine! Awww..They are the cutest couple ever! Well, besides me and Bill...ha ha

SNOW DAY 2007

This is "Jack"...as in Jack Frost. He is an 8' snowman that we built a couple of weeks ago when we had a wonderful surprise...3 inches of snow!! The kids had 2 days off of school and we had 2 days off of work. We had so much fun with the snow boards, sleds, hot chocolate, & cozy winter nights.

Joey managed to walk out on the frozen pool until we yelled at him to "get off of there"!! CRAZY POOCH!!! ....But then he warmed up pretty well with his hat.

The kids had a great time on the sled. Bill was pulling them behind the Expedition (very carefully, I might add). They had a blast.

Kaela's face is priceless! This is what pure excitement looks like! You gotta love her!

MORP 2007

MORP is PROM spelled backwards. It's a cute way to say semi formal Sadie Hawkins dance. Matthew was asked to go by his friend Jenna. Allie decided to go with 3 of her friends. The entire gang came to our house as a meeting place and so that we could take some pictures. Matthew & his group went to Chevy's Mexican Restuarant for dinner. They had a great time and the server said that she had never seen a nicer group of kids. Allie & her friends went to Newport Bay. Then they all went off to the dance. It was a really fun night. It was great to see all the kids dressed up and looking so sharp!

Happy New Year 2007!!

We had a nice dinner out at the chart house with Matthew, Kaela & Allie. We REALLY wish that Taylor, Jalen & Courtney could have been there with us, but they went to an all night party with their youth group at church.

Even Joey got festive for New Year's Eve. We had Tyler over and did fireworks right at midnight. It was a nice evening at home with the kids. We hope that everyone has a happy 2007!

GRANDPA SCHROEDER....WE LOVE YOU!

We took a family road trip on December 26th to California to visit Grandpa Schroeder. He has a very aggressive form of Leukemia and only has a few more weeks with us before he goes to heaven. My Grandpa is an amazing man who was very involved with education. He was principal of my Mom's junior high school and then became superintendent of schools. It was so nice to take the kids down to visit him. For a 10 hour car ride, the kids did exceptionally well. In fact, do I dare say that it was "fun"?

We had a fun day taking pictures at the beach last weekend. We went and had lunch in Newport and then went down to the beach. The purpose of our trip was to capture the perfect photo for our Christmas cards. As you can see, we were successful!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thanksgiving weekend was a total blast. Stacy & I picked Paul, Dad & Linda up at the airport on Wednesday. We went straight from the airport to the grocery store where we shopped, shopped and shopped!

We went home to start preparing for Thursday's dinner. Dad & Paul had designed the most incredible menu. After the prep was all finished, we went to McMeniman's to have dinner with all the kids. It was really nice to have everyone together!

SMOKED TURKEY!! YUMMY!
This is our 5th year BBQing a turkey and it was the best that we have ever done! The turkey was in a brine for 3 days before we put it on the grill. We also had a Black Hog Ham from Japan.




I would like to introduce you to a new word that we all learned over the Thanksgiving weekend. "Jerraboom". This is a 5 liter of wine..Pinot Noir to be exact. It look EVERYBODY to finish this bottle on Thanksgiving Day. I think we have just found a new tradition.








We had a fantastic day wine tasting with the family! We rented a Excursion limo and headed out to 4 wineries. We started at Duck Pond in Dundee. We then went to Torri Mor and then to Lange. We ended at Anne Aimee for a late picnic lunch. Paul really enjoyed the wine tasting and we can't wait to do some wine tasting in Napa Valley with him at Christmas.

What a busy day!!

GO WILDCATS! WOO HOO!!!

We had a very busy Saturday. Kaela was cheering today at Sunset High School. It was a very rainy day and not only were the parents freezing to death, the poor little cheerleaders were freezing their little pom poms off! It was the first game that we had to break out the little ponchos (also known as plastic trash bags with hoods)!



Allie was off to her girl friend Megan's sweet 16 party tonight. Allie, Molly & Kelsey got all dolled up and went off to the M.A.C. Club for dinner and dancing. The girls looked so great. It was almost like it was homecoming all over again. Allie started asking what she was going to do for her sweet 16 party. Yeah, I'm scared! We'll just have to see....but I'm glad she fun tonight!

Then there's Bill at home finishing the remodel on our living room and dining room. We have torn out all the carpet and changed it to hard wood floors. It's all done!! Finally!! It looks so good! We've got the new floors, new furniture and the new TV! It's like a whole new house. Just in time for Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Happy Halloween!!

We had a fun halloween! Taylor and his girlfriend Hillary came over for dinner. We had yummy beef stew, watched movies and passed out candy for the trick or treaters! Allie stayed the night with a friend and Matthew & Kaela went to their Mom's for the evening.

Kaela dressed up as a hippie. I put about 70 little braids in her hair the night before and then Bill had a field day with the orange hair spray! YIKES!


Allie dressed up as Ragedy Ann or "Ragedy Allie" as we affectionately call her. She didn't go out trick or treating but went to a Halloween party last weekend. She said that she had a great time at the party!
