4TH IN STATE!

Congratulations Wildingthings!
4TH IN STATE!

The girls competed with the OSAA Dance State Championships on Wednesday and Thursday last week. It was held at the Memorial Coliseum. They were just simply AMAZING! I don't think that I can begin to express the pride that I felt while watching them perform. After hours and hours of practices, everything came together beautifully and the girls brought on the "storm".

The girls all stayed in a hotel on Wednesday night. I heard that they had a great time together. I was able to go and help out on Thursday with make-up. I met them at the hotel before we went to the Spaghetti Factory for lunch. I brought cupcakes for the girls and everyone sang Happy Birthday to Allie.

Here are some pictures from the state competition! I can't believe that next year will be Allie's last year on the team! This has been an amazing experience for both Allie and myself.

The team also made special shorts with the word "storm" on them. Here is the booty shot!

Here is the sign that Bill & I made for the girls

Each girl got a state bag with their name on it, and a little teddy bear that was wearing the state costume! Too cute!

Happy 16th Birthday Matthew!

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY MATTHEW!

We had a wonderful surprise party for Matthew's 16th birthday on Sunday night. We went to the Rock Creek Tavern. Matthew thought that he was having dinner with just me, his Dad, Allie & Kaela so he was so surprised when he walked in to find about 20 friends and family!

Here is a really cute picture of Matthew and his girlfriend Miranda. She is a really sweet girl.

Matthew got a new car for his birthday! ha ha...we hear that the Matchbox cars have excellent gas mileage.

I just love this picture of Matthew with Papa Ray & Grandma Laverna. They have been so good to Matthew over the years. It's obvious everyday how much they love this child.

Matthew, we love you very much and are very proud of the man you are becoming. Happy Birthday!

Parkrose Competition

Allie's Fan Club!

Before we all went out the Parkrose Competition, we made T-shirts to show our support for Allie and her dance team. Taylor, Jalen & Courtney came over for the afternoon and we had a wonderful day. Bill made the cutest T-shirts for the girls.

Even the boys got all decked out to support Allie and the Westview Wildthings! They decorated their sunglasses with Westview. It was really cute! Allie is very lucky to have such wonderful brothers and sisters that love her and support her.

The Wildthings took 3rd place in the competition! Great job girls! Here are a few more pictures of Allie with her "fan club". HA HA....Today was a really good day! I love it when all of our kids are together.

Valentine 2008

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a nice Valentine's Day with our family. We had some Valentines for the kids in the morning and Bill left me a really sweet card on my steering wheel so that I would see it when I left for work.
For lunch, I was able to have lunch with Jalen & Courtney at their school. It was wonderful. I have really missed them so it was great to be able to catch up and talk & laugh. I can't wait until they come over this weekend!

We had a nice dinner at home. My Mother-in-law made us a really cute brownie in the shape of a heart! It was the perfect dessert! Thanks Mom!!

Even Joey had his Valentine! It was so cute....after dinner he fell asleep on his little bear. Love was everywhere!!!

Tigard Competition 2008

STATE 2008! HERE WE COME!

Allie's dance team is getting ready for the state competition in March. We had that Tigard competition this last weekend and it was so great! We placed 4th out of 10 teams. We only had 1 minute and 30 seconds of our routine done, so it really says alot about our potential competitions leading up to state. The state competition will be March 12-15. Here are a few pictures of Allie with her makeup all done. I love doing the makeup for the team. I'm really looking forward to next weekend for next competition at Parkrose.

Tyler's 10th Birthday Party

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!

Tyler had his 10th birthday on Saturday night at Papa's Pizza. He had about 6 of his friends there from school. The boys had a good time playing on the play structures and eating pizza!

Tyler got some great presents for his birthday. He got the new Guitar Hero 3 game, a new football, some money, a new baseball bat, a new jacket and some clothes. He is one lucky little boy! I still cannot believe that he is 10 years old!

There was the cutest man at the pizza place that was making balloon animals and hats for the kids. He made Tyler the coolest looking birthday crown!

Papa tried on Tyler's birthday crown. So funny Papa! You are crazy!

Matthew got a balloon made into a "Tommy Gun". He decided to go after his Dad with it.

Kaela's play....ANNIE

***Just a reminder**** You should be able to click on each picture and make it bigger!!!

It's a hard knocked life! Kaela was in the winter production of Annie at her middle school in December. It was a really good performance. She sang, she danced, she performed! Kaela played one of the orphans in the play. She is the 2nd girl on the right. She did an excellent job and we were so proud of her.

This scene is from the "New York City Scene". Kaela is wearing the black and gold dress right behind the little girl playing Annie.

Kaela practiced really hard to learn the songs and dances before the performance. It took a big committment on Kaela's part and although at times we didn't know if she would make it through, SHE DID, and she did it with style and grace!

This is a great scene with all of the orphans are singing "It's a hard knocked life" Kaela is in the back row in the blue and white jumper.
Kaela, we are very proud of you! We know that this was a little outside of your comfort level, but you have such an amazing voice and we are happy that you had this experience. These memories will go with you all of your life.
We love you!

HOME SWEET HOME

After a very stressful month, we are finally moved in! Praise the Lord! We feel so blessed to have this wonderful new home in Hillsboro. We have 4 bedrooms and a den. The kids are very happy and getting settled in their new rooms. We have been busy working and unpacking boxes.

I love the kitchen in our new house. It is very open to the dining room and the living room.

The neighborhood that we moved into has a great community center with 2 pools, a park, basketball courts, and a fitness center.

This is a great start to a wonderful 2008!

Thanksgiving 2007

Happy Thanksgiving 2007

We had a very nice Thanksgiving. Angie was getting over pneumonia so we tried to take it easy. As tradition has it, Dad & Linda came up. It was so great to see them! We spent half of the day on Wednesday shopping for all of our groceries, and the other half of the day watching Dad prep the food. Dad really is an AMAZING chef! And what would the Ryan, Johnson, Schroeder Thanksgiving be without the "World Famous" BBQ Turkey?!! Bill, once again, you out did yourself. This years' turkey was so good!

This is Larry the Lobster. We went to a great Japanese grocery store and picked him out. He was almost 3 pounds!! WOW!

I just love this picture of Allie and Larry! Larry the Lobster was getting ready to go into the pot and Allie had the hardest time watching it! Too cute!

Eventually, Larry the Lobster became an amazing ingredient in our stuffing. My Dad is a genius to think about putting lobster into a stuffing. YUMMY!

Stacy came over and gave Dad a haircut. This was the first haircut that Stacy has ever given to our Dad, so that was kinda cool. Dad loved his haircut and it was obvious that he was really proud of Stacy.

On Friday, we all decided to go bowling at Sunset Lanes. It was a nice afternoon. Tyler almost beat EVERYONE!! 2nd place isn't bad Ty. Uncle Billy had a streak of good luck at the very end. This picture of Allie and Stacy was great because they were always up together to throw the ball.

What a fun day!!

Jalen & Courtney

HOMECOMING 2007
Jalen & Courtney had their first homecoming dance on Saturday night. I was at the dance competition with Allie but Bill was sweet enough to go over and take some pictures for us. The girls looked absolutely AMAZING! I truly cannot believe that they are growing up so fast.

Courtney ~ You are so special to us! You are beautiful inside and out! We are always here for you. We love you forever sweet girl ~

Jalen ~ You are like a breath of fresh air in this world. You touch people's lives simply by being around them. You are such a beautiful young lady and we are very proud of you!

Allie's Dance Competition

GLADSTONE
The Westview Wildthings Dance Team had a competition on Saturday. It was a very long day. We had to be at the school at 6am and we didn't get home until 9pm that night. I did makeup for the girls, so that was alot of fun! The girls did so good during their competition. They placed 1st in
"Kickline". The routine was really cute and the girls had really high kicks!

The also placed 1st in the lyrical catergory. This routine was very powerful and emotional. The girls were so AWESOME! They were together on all of their moves. They were very proud of themselves as all of their hard work over the last couple of months has paid off.

CONGRATULATIONS

WILDTHINGS!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2007

We had a nice quiet evening at home. Bill did a great job making the courtyard look really spooky. We had the fog machine going, stuffed pumpkin head people, and music. It looked really good. We had a dinner in the crock pot all day and then Nana & Papa came over and had dinner with us while we passed out candy to the trick or treaters. Matthew was a ninja, Kaela was a witch and Allie was a football player. Even joey liked hanging out with the "dead guy" in the courtyard.
