Thanksgiving 2007
Happy Thanksgiving 2007
We had a very nice Thanksgiving. Angie was getting over pneumonia so we tried to take it easy. As tradition has it, Dad & Linda came up. It was so great to see them! We spent half of the day on Wednesday shopping for all of our groceries, and the other half of the day watching Dad prep the food. Dad really is an AMAZING chef! And what would the Ryan, Johnson, Schroeder Thanksgiving be without the "World Famous" BBQ Turkey?!! Bill, once again, you out did yourself. This years' turkey was so good!
This is Larry the Lobster. We went to a great Japanese grocery store and picked him out. He was almost 3 pounds!! WOW!
I just love this picture of Allie and Larry! Larry the Lobster was getting ready to go into the pot and Allie had the hardest time watching it! Too cute!
Eventually, Larry the Lobster became an amazing ingredient in our stuffing. My Dad is a genius to think about putting lobster into a stuffing. YUMMY!
Stacy came over and gave Dad a haircut. This was the first haircut that Stacy has ever given to our Dad, so that was kinda cool. Dad loved his haircut and it was obvious that he was really proud of Stacy.
On Friday, we all decided to go bowling at Sunset Lanes. It was a nice afternoon. Tyler almost beat EVERYONE!! 2nd place isn't bad Ty. Uncle Billy had a streak of good luck at the very end. This picture of Allie and Stacy was great because they were always up together to throw the ball.
What a fun day!!

Jalen & Courtney
HOMECOMING 2007
Jalen & Courtney had their first homecoming dance on Saturday night. I was at the dance competition with Allie but Bill was sweet enough to go over and take some pictures for us. The girls looked absolutely AMAZING! I truly cannot believe that they are growing up so fast.
Courtney ~ You are so special to us! You are beautiful inside and out! We are always here for you. We love you forever sweet girl ~
Jalen ~ You are like a breath of fresh air in this world. You touch people's lives simply by being around them. You are such a beautiful young lady and we are very proud of you!
Allie's Dance Competition
GLADSTONE
The Westview Wildthings Dance Team had a competition on Saturday. It was a very long day. We had to be at the school at 6am and we didn't get home until 9pm that night. I did makeup for the girls, so that was alot of fun! The girls did so good during their competition. They placed 1st in "Kickline". The routine was really cute and the girls had really high kicks!
The also placed 1st in the lyrical catergory. This routine was very powerful and emotional. The girls were so AWESOME! They were together on all of their moves. They were very proud of themselves as all of their hard work over the last couple of months has paid off.
CONGRATULATIONS
WILDTHINGS!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2007
We had a nice quiet evening at home. Bill did a great job making the courtyard look really spooky. We had the fog machine going, stuffed pumpkin head people, and music. It looked really good. We had a dinner in the crock pot all day and then Nana & Papa came over and had dinner with us while we passed out candy to the trick or treaters. Matthew was a ninja, Kaela was a witch and Allie was a football player. Even joey liked hanging out with the "dead guy" in the courtyard.

FUN DINNER WITH THE KIDS
Halloween Cookies
Kaela and I went over to Grammy Jo's house to decorate Halloween cookies last weekend. This is a tradition that I have been doing with the kids ever since they were old enough to frost a cookie! We try and do cookies for every major holiday....Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter....etc. We had a great time with Piper and Kelli too.
By the way Kelli....MY OWL COOKIE WAS WAY BETTER THAN YOURS! HA HA HA
Try not to be too jealous!

Taylor's Graduation & Grad Party
Taylor has finally graduated! The graduation ceremonies were so fabulous. We really can't explain the pride that we felt watching him receive his diploma!
Taylor is planning to go to Warner Pacific College next year. He will be living in the dorms. He will be majoring in biological sciences. Last we heard, his end goal is to be fireman.
TAYLOR'S GRADUATION PARTY!
My Aunt Patti helped us make Taylor's graduation party a HUGE hit! We had a nice buffet with a chocolate fountain as the dessert. The kids hung out and had a great time playing "Guitar Hero". Taylor, you are our pride & joy!

SNOW DAY 2007
This is "Jack"...as in Jack Frost. He is an 8' snowman that we built a couple of weeks ago when we had a wonderful surprise...3 inches of snow!! The kids had 2 days off of school and we had 2 days off of work. We had so much fun with the snow boards, sleds, hot chocolate, & cozy winter nights.
Joey managed to walk out on the frozen pool until we yelled at him to "get off of there"!! CRAZY POOCH!!! ....But then he warmed up pretty well with his hat.
The kids had a great time on the sled. Bill was pulling them behind the Expedition (very carefully, I might add). They had a blast.
Kaela's face is priceless! This is what pure excitement looks like! You gotta love her!

MORP 2007
MORP is PROM spelled backwards. It's a cute way to say semi formal Sadie Hawkins dance. Matthew was asked to go by his friend Jenna. Allie decided to go with 3 of her friends. The entire gang came to our house as a meeting place and so that we could take some pictures. Matthew & his group went to Chevy's Mexican Restuarant for dinner. They had a great time and the server said that she had never seen a nicer group of kids. Allie & her friends went to Newport Bay. Then they all went off to the dance. It was a really fun night. It was great to see all the kids dressed up and looking so sharp!
Happy New Year 2007!!
We had a nice dinner out at the chart house with Matthew, Kaela & Allie. We REALLY wish that Taylor, Jalen & Courtney could have been there with us, but they went to an all night party with their youth group at church.
Even Joey got festive for New Year's Eve. We had Tyler over and did fireworks right at midnight. It was a nice evening at home with the kids. We hope that everyone has a happy 2007!

GRANDPA SCHROEDER....WE LOVE YOU!
We took a family road trip on December 26th to California to visit Grandpa Schroeder. He has a very aggressive form of Leukemia and only has a few more weeks with us before he goes to heaven. My Grandpa is an amazing man who was very involved with education. He was principal of my Mom's junior high school and then became superintendent of schools. It was so nice to take the kids down to visit him. For a 10 hour car ride, the kids did exceptionally well. In fact, do I dare say that it was "fun"?
